Description

The south-west walls and gate piers enclosing the garden in front of the Baptist Church date from the 18th century. The central pair of gate piers are low and made of stucco, featuring plain capping. Low stuccoed walls with coping connect these piers to taller gate piers at either end, which have a similar design but include moulded capping. This structure, along with Nos 20, 24 to 32 (consecutive), the Baptist Church, and Nos 1 and 3 Middlebridge Street, forms a cohesive group.
