Description
Nos 11 to 15 on Corn Market is a 19th-century building with a stucco front and brick behind. It stands three storeys tall and features a moulded and coved cornice with a parapet. The façade has four window bays arranged in pairs, each pair framed by pilasters with fluted capitals, with the main cornice breaking forward over them. The second floor has sash windows with architrave frames, glazing bars, and horns. Below both pairs on the first floor are canted angular bays with moulded and dentilled cornices above; each side light contains one sash window, while the front lights each have one double sash window. The ground floor front wall has been cut away and replaced with a metal-framed plate-glass shop front and doors, topped by a large modern fascia. The ground floor is now occupied by a supermarket. All the listed buildings in Corn Market and Market Place form a group.
