Description
The premises located to the south-east of the Corn Market Chambers date from the early to mid-19th century and are two storeys high with one window bay. The building has a hipped slate roof with red tiled ridges and a lower ridge line compared to the adjacent structure to the north-west. The front facing north-east is constructed of painted brick and features one sash window above, which is set in reveals and lacks glazing bars, with painted brick voussoirs above. Below, there is a small 20th-century plate-glass shop front, door, and fascia. The front facing south-east is made of red brick and has two bays. Originally, all windows were sash windows set in reveals without glazing bars, also with painted brick voussoirs. However, the lower windows have been enlarged and now feature modern plate-glass windows with polished frames. All the listed buildings in Corn Market and Market Place form a group.
