Description
Place Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that incorporates an earlier building. It features colourwashed brick and a tile-hung wing at the rear, topped with an old plain tile roof. The structure is two storeys high and has five bays, with a staircase wing in the center at the rear. The rest of the rear includes an outshot and a single-storey service range at the left end. The central entrance has a six-panel door with top lights in a solid frame and a flat hood above. On either side of the door are two 2-light casement windows with segmental heads, and there is another casement window next to the door beside a blocked opening in the service bay. On the first floor, there are four similar casements, with a blind opening to the left of center. The roof features two symmetrical hipped dormers with 2-light windows and has large end stacks, while the service range has a half-hipped roof.
