Description
Meadow Cottage is a small house that was originally a pair of cottages, built in the early 18th century and altered in the 19th and late 20th centuries during restoration. The structure is made of brick and has an old plain tile roof. It is a 2 and a half storey, five bay building featuring lean-to porches at both ends of the front. There are 20th century additions to the left side, which include a link and garage, as well as to the rear.
The front of the cottage has a wide 19th century hip-roofed bay in the center, which contains a four-light casement window. On either side of this bay, there are two two-light casements set under segmental arches. Above, there are five additional two-light casements. The lean-to porches have half a half-nipped roof, with a 20th century oak door located under a hipped hood supported by timber posts on the left and a two-light casement window on the right. The roof is half-hipped, featuring a large central stack and hip-roofed dormers with two-light casements on each side.
