Description

This is an 18th-century barn located 10 meters north of Mandeville in Longstock. It has been repaired in the 20th century. The structure features cob on a flint plinth, which has been repaired using mass concrete, and it has a corrugated iron roof. The barn is oriented end-on to the road and consists of four bays, with a cob shed at the far end that has a flat roof made of corrugated iron. The side facing away from the house is open, except for a corrugated iron wall at the road end bay. The roof is hipped at the road end. Inside, there is a queen post roof with posts resting on piers at either end of the open section. This barn is included for its group value.
