Description
Test Lodge is an early 19th-century fishing lodge constructed of rendered brick with a thatched roof. This large cottage ornée features two storeys and four bays, with a wing at the rear on the right and a set-back porch on the left that includes a rounded bay in front. The front elevation has eight replacement two-light casement windows in their original openings, complete with shutters. The building has wide flat rendered eaves that extend to a hipped roof, and a prominent large central chimney stack. To the left, there is a flat-roofed parapeted bay with half-glazed bowed doors flanked by shutters, which appears to be original. At the rear, there is a 20th-century bay porch topped with a thatched roof.
