Description
Poplar Farm House is a 16th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It features a timber frame with colour washed brick, flint, and plaster infill, topped with a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has three bays, with an 18th-century outshot to the right. There is a planked door located at the inner end of the right bay, which is sheltered by a gabled tiled timber porch. The central bay contains an 18th-century three-light leaded casement window, while a small two-light fireplace light is found to the left. Each bay has 19th-century two-light casements. Above the central and right bays, there are eyebrow dormers; the central dormer has a two-light casement, and the right dormer features an 18th-century three-light leaded casement. The roof is hipped and sweeps down to the right, with a chimney stack positioned above the inner end of the left bay and another at the right end of the ridge.
