Description

This is an early 19th-century building, comprising Nos. 8 to 12 Middlebridge Street. It is a three-story structure rendered in stucco, with a rusticated treatment to the ground floor and a moulded string course at the sill level of the first floor windows. A cornice sits above the first-floor windows. The roof is slated and hipped, with flat eaves. The upper floor has six sash windows, each with three panes. The ground floor features three four-paned sash windows and three recessed four-paned doors within panelled reveals. Each door is framed by an architrave surround, topped with a frieze, a narrow string course, and a moulded cornice. The building forms a group with Nos. 8 to 13 (consecutively numbered) and Broadwater House, situated on Broadwater Street.
