Description

The Old Plough Farmhouse is a late 18th-century house located in Tangley, Wildhern. It is constructed of flint and brick with a thatched roof. The front (south-facing) elevation is symmetrical, featuring three windows and two doorways across two storeys. The roof is hipped, with a catslide at the rear, and has brick dentil eaves. The flint walls have brick quoins and bands at several levels: the first floor sill, the first floor level, the ground floor sill, and the plinth. The windows are casements. Two plain doorways are located on the east side, one of which has a round arch and a three-pane fanlight. A three-story extension was added in the 20th century in the centre of the rear, featuring a half-hipped roof.
