Description

This is an icehouse located 25 meters north of Bury Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It features a brick-lined chamber that is covered by earth. A 2-meter long brick passage leads into the top of a dome-shaped chamber that has a diameter of 3 meters and is approximately 2 meters deep. The icehouse is situated in an interesting location within woods near the salt marshes of Southampton Water.
