Description

The Fish Inn is an early 19th-century inn situated on West Street, Ringwood. It is constructed of painted brick with a thatched roof, incorporating some plain tile roofing. The building has a U-shaped plan with projecting end bays and single-storey additions at each end. The front facade features chamfered corners to the projecting bays. A pent-roofed porch, with a half-glazed door and window, sits centrally between the bays. Above the porch is a 12-pane sash window. Paired 12-pane sashes are positioned under cambered arches in the end bays. The roof eaves sweep over the centre of the building. A swept-down addition is located to the right-hand side, and a two-bay addition with a hipped roof is situated to the left-hand side. End stacks are also present.
