Description
The Green Dragon Inn is an inn dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a painted brick exterior and a thatched roof with brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has three bays, with a lean-to at one end and an outshot at part of the rear. The front of the inn includes a central porch with a heavy moulded hood supported by octagonal timber posts. On either side of the porch are tripartite sash windows with glazing bars and shutters. There is a pent-roofed shed in front near the left-hand end. The first floor has a raised band, and above the porch is a two-light casement window flanked by 9-pane sash windows, all with glazing bars. The building has end stacks and a small central ridge stack. An added lean-to at the right-hand end features a plank floor with an inserted light and a tall hipped roof.
