Description

The Jubilee Lamp is a lamp standard dating from 1887, erected to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee and restored in 1977. It stands on a stone plinth and is constructed of cast iron with copper lanterns. The substantial base rises to a bowl, which was originally a drinking fountain but is now filled with concrete. A central standard rises from the bowl and has five branches, each supporting a lantern.
