Description
The Candlestick Cottage Restaurant is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with an early 19th-century addition and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of painted brick and features a thatched roof. The building has three bays and is two storeys high, with a lower three-bay wing at one end that has been partially raised to one and a half storeys, including a dormer. The right-hand bay of the main part has a plank door with a segmental head, while the other bays contain two or three-light casement windows. Above the left-hand two bays, there are large two-light leaded casements with shutters. Additionally, there is a large 20th-century three-light eyebrow dormer above the left-hand lower bays. A stack is located at the left-hand end and above the door, and the ridge of the roof slopes down to the right of the door.
