Description

This building, located at 1-11 Church Lane, dates from the 18th century and is constructed of painted brick with tiled roofs. The structure features two storeys and an attic, with a total of eight windows and seven dormers. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. Notably, Nos 11 and 15 have architraves on the ground floor windows and wooden window shutters. Nos 9, 11, and 15 each have six-panelled doors, while Nos 11 and 15 also have two blank panels. The doors for Nos 1, 5, 11, and 15 are topped with flat bracketed hoods. This group of buildings, including Nos 1 to 11 (odd), No 15, Southend House, wall gate piers, and a street lamp, forms a cohesive group with the wall and barn and the three warehouses opposite.
