Description
This is an 18th-century garden wall and pair of gate piers associated with Southend House. The wall is approximately 10 feet high and built of red brick, resting on stone rubble foundations. Internal brick buttresses reinforce the wall. The gate piers have stone bands where the gates would hinge, and now have replaced ball finials. The wall and gate piers, along with Southend House and other nearby buildings, form a notable group within the surrounding area.
