Description

The war memorial, located on the north side of High Street, commemorates those who served in the 1914-18 and 1939-45 wars. It features a granite cross set on steps with a tapering plinth, adorned with Celtic scrollwork on the shaft. The memorial is enclosed by railings and serves as a focal point against the church at the top of the High Street. It is part of a group that includes the parish church, its wall, gate and piers, as well as Nos 63 to 68 (consecutive).
