Description
Nos 19 and 20 on Ringwood Road are 18th-century houses that have been altered in the 20th century. They are constructed of brick, which is painted on the front, and feature a thatched roof. The building is two stories tall with three bays, and there is a one-and-a-half-story addition with one wide bay at one end. The front of the original part has a wide six-panel door located to the left of center, framed by an architrave and topped with a flat hood. The addition includes 20th-century three-light casement windows, one of which is in an eyebrow dormer on the left side where the ridge rises to meet the older part. The corners and the junction of the two parts are accented with corner pilasters. There is a chimney stack above the door and another at the right end. The roof of the added bay is half-hipped with a slightly lower ridge. This building is included for its group value.
