Description
Doules Mead is a building that dates from the 17th century, with early 19th-century and 20th-century alterations. It is two storeys high and has three windows. The early 19th-century brick front conceals an earlier timber frame, which is visible on the east gable. The roof is covered with red tiles and is half-hipped at each end, while a rear addition features three hips. The west gable is tile-hung, and the timber frame suggests that there was originally a drop at the rear to a low eaves. The brickwork is painted, with red brick dentil eaves and cambered openings on the ground floor, along with a plinth. The windows are casements, and a circular window has replaced what was once a central door. There is a gabled porch at the east end of the building.
