Description

Gables is a house that dates from the 17th, 18th, and 20th centuries, consisting of three distinct parts. The northern section is a half-timbered structure, with the timber frame exposed in the upper part of the north gable. This part has two storeys and three windows, featuring a half-hipped tile roof and tiles hanging down to the first floor, with casement windows. The middle section is a taller 18th-century unit, which includes a two-storey angular bay with three lights on the south side and one window above a pedimented door on the north side. This section has a red tile half-hipped roof, with the bay topped by a boarded gable, and is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with sash windows set in reveals. The southern unit is set back and has one window, a red tile roof, a large chimney breast, and sash windows.
