Description
Limetrees is a building dating from the 15th and 17th centuries, located on Dippenhall Street in Crondall. It has two storeys and features a cruck frame structure with additional 17th-century framing that is partly exposed on the exterior. The main front, facing west, includes a central section with one storey and an attic, flanked by two-storey wings. There is a single-storey outshot on the northern side and a 17th-century extension at the rear of the southern end. The roof is covered in red tiles, hipped at the front and gabled at the back, with a gabled dormer in the centre and large brick chimney stacks. The upper walls are tile-hung and project forward to create a canopy over the entrance. The brickwork is red, featuring English and other bonding patterns, and the front has modern casement windows arranged in a three-window layout. Inside, the building showcases framing from different periods.
