Description

Thorns is an 18th-century building located on Dippenhall Street in Crondall. It has two storeys and features three windows, with a one-window extension set back to the south. The roof is hipped and covered with red tiles. The walls are finished in stucco and include a first-floor band and a plinth. The windows are sash types set in reveals. The porch has a small projection and includes a doorway with a cornice at the top of the wall that extends as a canopy, supported by curved brackets resting on fluted pilasters. The door itself has six flush panels. In front of the building, a brick wall forms a forecourt, which slopes down the centre and is topped with a wrought-iron rail, featuring central gate piers.
