Description
Nos 2 and 3 Crescent Road are a pair of villas built around 1830, designed symmetrically with simple Greek ornamentation. They are two storeys tall, with an attic and basement, and feature three windows across the front. The ground floor entrances are set back, and the hipped slate roof has a mansard that includes dormers. A massive but simple entablature is present, with end and centre pavilions above wide pilasters that rest on coupled bands on the first floor. There is a bold plinth, and recessed panels are located at the first floor levels, as well as above the side porches, which have pilasters supporting simple entablatures. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with shutters on the first floor.
