Description

These are two 18th-century buildings on East Street in Titchfield, numbers 23 and 25. Number 23 is built of painted brick, while number 25 is rendered. Both have a brick eaves cornice and an old tiled roof with a large chimney positioned off-centre and end chimneys. Each building has two windows on each floor. The windows are sash windows, and those in number 23 have boxed frames. The glazing is late 19th century in style. Number 23 features a six-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, and a small flat hood above it. The buildings are part of a group of properties, which includes numbers 3 to 39 (odd) along East Street, Old Clarendon House, numbers 2 to 6 and 8, numbers 14 to 18 (even), numbers 22 to 26 (even) Rockstone House, and numbers 5 to 11 (odd) The Old Lodge and Old Lodge Cottage on High Street. Numbers 14 to 18 (even) and 22 to 26 (even) are described as exhibiting local interest.
