Description
Rockstone House is an early 19th-century corner building located on East Street in Titchfield, with its main facade facing High Street. The exterior is stuccoed and features string courses between each floor and an eaves bracket cornice. The building has a hipped slate roof and stands three storeys tall. There are three windows on the High Street side, with the centre windows on the first and second floors being blank, while the others are sash windows with late 19th-century glazing. On the East Street side, there is one sash window with glazing bars. A semi-circular porch leads to a round arched doorway, which is topped with a semi-circular fanlight and features a door with six moulded panels. Rockstone House is part of a group of buildings that includes Nos 3 to 39 (odd) and Old Claredon House, as well as Nos 2, 6, and 8, and Nos 14 to 18 (even) and Nos 22 to 26 (even), along with Nos 5 to 11 (odd) The Old Lodge and Old Lodge Cottage on High Street.
