Description
This is an 18th-century building comprising numbers 61 and 62 High Street, Fareham. The facade is of red brick with a modillion eaves cornice. The side facade is tile-hung, and the roof is tiled and hipped. The building is three storeys high with a basement to number 61. It has three windows. The sash windows have moulded, boxed frames, with cambered head linings to those on the ground and first floors. Number 61 features a doorcase with pilasters and a pediment, while number 62 has a similar doorcase on its side. A carriage arch is located at the north end of number 61. The building is part of a group of listed buildings along High Street and Union Street, which includes the listed street lamps, numbers 1 and 2, the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul in Church Place, the Red Lion Hotel, and number 10 East Street.
