Description
Lothian House is a 18th-century building located at No 22 High Street in Fareham. It is constructed of painted brick, with the southernmost bay recessed. There is a stringcourse at the first floor and an eaves band, which is interrupted on the south side by the insertion of longer sash windows. The building features a hipped tiled roof and has two storeys with five windows, with the glazing bars generally intact. The entrance includes a doorway with pilasters, a pediment, panelled reveals, and a rectangular fanlight. The door consists of six moulded and fielded panels. Additionally, there are double carriageway doors beneath the recessed window bay. Lothian House is part of a group of listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, which includes the listed street lamps, Nos 1 and 2, the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the Red Lion Hotel, and No 10 East Street. No 45 High Street is noted for its local interest.
