Description
21 High Street is a 19th-century building made of red brick with a hipped tiled roof. It has two storeys and features three sash windows with cambered head linings and late 19th-century glazing. The doorway is adorned with a semi-circular hood and pilasters, leading to a six-panelled door, of which the top four panels are now glazed. On the south side, there is a later advanced bay with a carriageway arch beneath. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, which includes the listed street lamps, Nos 1 and 2, the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul on Church Place, the Red Lion Hotel, and No 10 East Street. No 45 High Street is noted for its local interest.
