Description

This is an 18th-century house with a shop and forge, altered in the mid-19th century and again in the 20th century. The house has brick walls with blue headers and flush red dressings, a birth plinth, cambered openings, quoins, and a first-floor band. Other walls are of flint with brick dressings. The roof is tiled. The symmetrical north front of the house is two storeys high and has two windows. To the east side is a shop, and to the west side a single-storey extension leading to the forge. The house has casement windows, while the shop has a large window. The forge has boarded openings. The doorways are plain.
