Description

Holmwood Cottages is a small house dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. It features brick walls and a tiled roof, with a timber-framed structure that has been refaced. The front, facing southwest, is two storeys high and has two windows. The roof is plain, with a catslide at the rear and a lower roof on the north side outshot. The walls are constructed in Flemish bond, with a first-floor band and a plinth. The north gable and rear walls display exposed brick-nogged framing, while the east gable has a lower section made of chalkstone, which includes an altered opening. The windows are casements, and there is a plain doorway that is sheltered by a 20th-century open wood porch.
