Description

Brewery Cottage is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with an extension added in the early 18th century. It features a timber frame and brick walls, topped by a steep slate roof. The front of the house is two storeys high and has four irregularly placed windows. The roof is half-hipped, while the rear outshots have a slate roof with a lower pitch. The upper walls display exposed framing, which indicates where extensions have been added, and the brick infill includes both Flemish and English bonds. The lower walls have a plinth, and the south gable is tile-hung above the exposed ground floor frame. The windows are casements, and there is a half-glazed porch added in the late 20th century.
