Description

House. Dating back to the 15th century, with 18th-century alterations and 20th-century restoration and extension. The house is timber-framed with brick walls and a tiled roof. The west front appears as an 18th-century house, with a lower cross-wing at the south end. The cross-wing represents an original medieval house of two bays, constructed of heavy timbers, and the larger unit is an extension to it. The front displays a symmetrical appearance with two storeys and three windows. The cross-wing projects with a single window. The roof is half-hipped on the wing. The brick walls are of Flemish bond, featuring cambered arches and a plinth. The cross-wing exhibits exposed timber framing with a jetty and brick infill. The windows are early 20th-century metal casements. There is an early 20th-century gabled brick porch.
