Description
Ropley Manor is a house built in the early, mid, and late 19th century. It features roughcast and rendered walls with a plinth to the wings and bays. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, having a steeper pitch on the middle block, which is adorned with a modillion eaves cornice. The east front is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and five windows, with two-storey wings on each side that have two windows on the south and one on the north. The windows are sash, with a triple arrangement in the central block except for two upper windows. There are ground-floor splayed bays on each side and a bow window with casements above the entrance. A Tuscan porch is situated on a segmental plan. The rear extensions, added in the mid and late 19th century, are in a similar style. The interior mainly dates from the late 19th century and includes a panelled hall.
