Description
Harriden Farmhouse is a timber-framed house dating from the 18th century, with alterations and extensions from the early and late 19th century. The building is two storeys high and features three windows. It has a tile roof and a large tapered chimney stack at one end, with two additional stacks. The front (west) upper wall displays exposed timber framing, which is brick-nogged and includes some herring-bone panels. The ground floor and the north side are constructed with brickwork in Monk and Flemish bonds, featuring one rubbed flat arch and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames, with small mullions under the eaves within a brick panel, suggesting an early design. The doorway is topped with a moulded canopy and has a four-panelled door.
