Description

Island Mill House is an early 19th-century building. It features a nearly symmetrical front on the west side, consisting of two storeys and three windows. The low-pitched hipped slate roof complements the red brick walling, which is laid in Flemish bond and includes rubbed flat arches. At the rear, there is an arched staircase window. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames. The doorway is notable for its moulded canopy with a panelled soffit, which sits above an architrave that frames a six-panelled door. There is a recent extension at the rear.
