Description
Nos 30 and 32 North Street is a building from 1863, likely designed as part of a symmetrical terrace of four, although the easternmost unit is now set back, resulting in a non-symmetrical pair. The building has two storeys and features two windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor. It has a tile roof and is constructed of blue brickwork in Flemish bond, with flush red quoins around the openings and on the west side. The east side ends in red brick walling with a plinth, and the ground-floor openings have angular arches. The upper casements are made of cast iron, while the lower ones are wooden. There are open shallow porches with angular barge-boards that rest on impost blocks above red brick piers, and the doors are plain. A small terra-cotta tile inscribed "Victoria Place 63" is positioned above the coupled porches, and the replacement of a former doorway on the west side with a window indicates the original arrangement of the building.
