Description
This pair of cottages at Park Corner dates from the 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. They are two storeys high and feature five upper windows. The cottages have a hipped tile roof and a shafted stack, indicating they may have an earlier origin. The walls are made of red brick, with the oldest section constructed in Flemish Garden Wall bond, while some modern sections are in stretcher bond. The ground-floor openings are cambered to fit one, two, and three-light windows. The front of the cottages includes a plain boarded door for No. 2, set in a solid frame. The south end has a weather-boarded outshot and a side entrance. The rear of the cottages has been modernized, featuring three dormers and outshots on each side, all designed in a matching style.
