Description

Beaurepaire Mill Bridge is a road bridge that spans a stream and was built in 1831. It features cast and wrought iron construction with brick and stone abutments. The bridge has five elliptically-arched cast-iron girders, each measuring 18 feet in span, which support plates for the carriageway. The girders are decorated with quatrefoils and elongated cusped imposts. Wrought-iron balustrades are present, featuring square panels with intersecting diagonal patterns and small cusps. The parapets over the abutments have been rebuilt using brick. The stream that the bridge crosses is a tributary of the River Loddon. This structure is also designated as Hampshire County Council bridge No. 247.
