Description
The Manor House, dating from the 16th and 19th centuries, is a two-storey building featuring a mix of architectural styles. The front (west) facade has gabled sides that project forward and is topped with a tile roof. The gable bargeboards are adorned with pierced tracery. The structure showcases an exposed timber frame with close-studding and rendered infill, while the recessed center has a jettied upper floor.
The side windows are three-light leaded casements that project as bays, each topped with tiled pent roofs and moulded covered cills. In the center of the facade, there are two six-light mullioned and transomed windows, along with a four-light mullioned and transomed window positioned above the doorway, which features a four-centred arch and cut spandrels.
The north elevation displays an exposed frame with red brick infill, while the south elevation is covered with tile-hanging that includes scalloped bands from a later period. The building also has attached Tudor stacks and a boarded door.
