Description

Butcher's Cottage is a 18th-century building located in Overton, Southington. It features a symmetrical facade on the east side, consisting of two storeys and two windows. The cottage has a tiled roof and brick dentil eaves, with painted brick walling laid in Flemish bond. The ground-floor openings are cambered, and there is a cement plinth. The windows are casements, with the upper lights positioned above eaves level and a flat roof. Above the central door, there is a tiny window. The entrance is a six-panelled door set in a solid frame, topped with a hood supported by carved brackets.
