Description

Southington Cottage is a 17th, 18th, and mid-19th century building. It is a one-storey and attic cottage with two windows above three. The roof is tiled with overhanging gables and a decorative ridge, featuring dormers with steep gables and tiled sides and fronts. A tapered stack is located at the north end, and later extensions are present at each end of the building. The central section shows an exposed timber frame with red brick infill and other walling, featuring cambered ground-floor openings. The windows are Victorian casements. A modern boarded door is set within a solid frame.
