Description

Little Axford Cottage is a 17th and 18th century building. It is a two-storey cottage with four ground-floor windows. The thatched roof has a gable at the south end, where an 18th-century tapered stack is attached, and is hipped at the north end, brought to a low eaves. The cottage has an exposed timber frame, with an original central section and later additions on either side, filled in with red brick. The windows are casements. A boarded door is set within a solid frame. A modern lower extension, built of brick and tile, is set back at the south end.
