Description

This is a late 18th century and mid 19th century cottage, originally comprising two windows, with a subsequent extension to the east side incorporating a small, single-storeyed school building with one window and a porch. The roof is thatched, with a half-hipped section at the east side, and tiled above the school. The walls are red brick in Flemish bond, with a half-timbered gable, and blue headers to the brickwork of the school. The ground-floor windows have cambered arches, while the porch has a four-centred chamfered arch. The windows feature old casements with leaded lights on the first floor and cast metal panes at ground level. The cottage has plain, boarded doors set within solid frames.
