Description

Rose Cottage is an 18th and early 19th century building, originally designed as a symmetrical pair of cottages. It is a small, single-storey and attic structure with two windows. The roof is thatched, with the thatch extending to low eaves at the rear. Exposed timber framing is visible on the gable and rear portions of the side walls. The main walls are red brick cladding in a Monk bond pattern, featuring cambered arched openings at ground-floor level. The windows are old casements, with upper sections of diagonal leaded lights and lower sections of cast metal panes. The cottage has boarded doors set within solid frames.
