Description
The Church of All Saints is a Grade II* listed building dating from the 12th century, with elements from the 13th century and significant restoration in 1854. This two-cell Norman church features a tile roof and a timber-framed bell turret at the west end, topped with a small broach spire. The walls are constructed of flint with some stone, and include stone dressings such as a buttress on the west side. A small Norman window is located in the nave, along with a tiny lancet on the north side of the chancel. The church has a pointed transitional arch head and a narrow chancel opening. Larger windows, including some with tracery, were added during the restoration period. The south door, dating to around 1300, is a recessed pointed arch and is protected by a timber-framed porch built in 1908. There is a 17th-century almsbox, while the remaining fittings are from the later period.
