Description
The Barracks is a terrace of three double-fronted cottages built in the early 19th century. The cottages are two storeys high and feature nine upper windows, two of which are blank. They have an old tiled roof that is half-hipped at the ends, with a tiled east gable. The walls are made of red brick laid in English bond, with Flemish bond above the first-floor cill level. The easternmost unit has a first-floor band, and the ground-floor openings are cambered. There are blue headers in the blank panels above two doorways. The windows on the first floor are old casements with leaded glass, while the ground floor features cast metal windows. The doors are boarded and set in solid frames.
