Description
The Primary School and School House, built in 1868, is a Tudor-Gothic style L-shaped building with a one-storey school house and an attic attached at the south side. It features a steep tiled roof and a bell turret above the main gable. The building has coupled gables above the larger windows, which are adorned with scalloped barge-boards, and a massive chimney stack above the house. The walls are constructed of flint with red brick quoins, cill, and plinth bands. In the main gable, there is a small quatrefoil opening above a carved stone plaque that displays a heraldic device and the date 1868. The larger windows are sash windows, while other windows are casements, including three tall narrow lights in the main gables. The side porches are set back in outshots and feature scalloped barge-boards above Tudor arched doorways. The school house has similar architectural features.
