Description

Prestons is a two-storey building located on the west side of Winchester Street, Overton, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with later modern additions. It has a tile roof, hipped at the north end and with a catslide at the rear. The north side is of lower height and displays exposed timber framing, revealing a jettied first floor, now indicated by a projecting lead weathering. A first-floor band runs along the front of the building. The north side has been re-rendered. Victorian sash windows are present, with the ground floor featuring 16-light sashes and a rectangular modern bay, formerly a shopfront. A modern boarded door is set within a solid frame.
