II*

1849-53, possibly by T H Wyatt, replacing a medieval building. Decorated style; chancel with an opening on the north side onto a 'vestry', aisleless nave, south porch, and west tower. Blue tile roofing with lozenge bands. Walling of squared knapped flint with stone dressings; hood-moulds, moulded plinth, diagonal stepped buttresses. Single and double windows, the latter with reticulate tracery; 3-light east window. The outside (blocked) north door, the south door, and the nave side of the tower arch have decorative voussoirs, being the original Norman arches of the old church (the tower arch once the chancel arch): the tower has a stone parapet with cusped panelling, and the tops of the diagonal buttresses have slender detached pinnacles. Within, the church is lined with Bathstone ashlar, and the pulpit was set within an opening with an arched head within a gable. The nave has a scissors roof a the chancel roof is panelled. The church is now adapted as a private musical studio.
